Available as of now information and documentation about the Kassel Rembrandts

29 August 2014

Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister (Museumlandschaft Hessen Kassel) presents a wealth of information and documentation about five Rembrandt paintings. Of each painting normal light images, X-rays, infraredreflectographs, written documents etc. are available for the visitors of the database. The new data includes the painting “Jacob blessing Manasseh and Ephraim”, which was damaged by an acid-spraying vandal on 7 October 1977. Before and after treatment documents are now accessible on The Rembrandt Database.
